The Wickford Yacht Club has a membership of over 100 families and supports many family boating activities including sailboat racing, sailing lessons, cruises, skill building, seminars, as well as a variety of social events. Boat ownership is not a requirement for membership. The Club is located in Wickford Harbor on Narragansett Bay. Please explore the site for more information about our Club.

Family Day at WYC, August 14, 2011
Family Day at the Wickford Yacht Club, Sunday, August 14, 2011. Commodore Win Brown walked the plank, kayaking, crabbing, sailing, tatoos and a pie eating contest. WSA and WYC families joined in the fun. See the photos provided by Kathy Brown.

2011 Regattas
Two major regattas are again planned at the Wickford Yacht Club this summer. The first is the Wickford Regatta on May 21-22. The second is the West Passage Regatta on July 23-24.

Sea Dog Worlds
A very successful Sea Dog Worlds was held at the Club on Saturday, December 4, 2010. Peter Green won the whole sheebang for Wickford. Sachem's Head brought 14 boats from Connecticut to join 18 RI racers. For more information go to the Frostbite site (Racing --> Frostbiting) in the menu above.

Wednesday Night Winners 2010
Congrats to the 2010 winners! First place finishers for the summer were: Class 1: Bill Demos, RENEGADE; Class 2: Stan McCrory, SHADOW FOX; Class 3: Vincent Cerbo, DOUBLE ENTENDRE; and Class 4: Peter Green, PLEASANT DREAMS. Upcoming Regattas
The Wickford Regatta, renewed with great fanfare and success in 2009, will be coming again in 2010 on its usual weekend, the one before Memorial Day Weekend. The West Passage Regatta is new for 2010, and features the J/105 Class and the 5-0-5 Class. It will be held the second weekend in August.
